British Airways has announced the introduction of a First Class cabin on its services to Las Vegas, which runs daily from London Heathrow. The introduction of First Class will increase the airline’s capacity; it is expected to rise by 18%.
The daily flight which runs non-stop between London and Las Vegas was introduced in the autumn of 2009. It will be operated by Boeing 747 configured into four classes including Club World and the new First Class; First Class will be equipped with 14 luxury seats for passengers.
British Airways’ First class cabin is comprised of individual suites allowing passengers to have their own personal space and luxury. Each passenger has their own, personal 15 inch television screen to enjoy the entertainment that is provided during the flight. Suites also come with a personal wardrobe, electronic blinds and lighting that can be adjusted to alter the mood of the cabin.
Executive Vice President for British Airways, Americas, Simon Talling-Smith said: “We are so proud of the success of our Las Vegas route that we launched just over one year ago. The demand has been great so we’re delighted to be able to increase capacity on this route. Additional seats mean more travellers get to see the best of London, the UK and the rest of the world.
“And for our high roller flyers, we are thrilled to now offer our award winning First class on this route. Our new First offers a 60% wider seat, personal electronic blinds and balanced privacy that creates an intimate private jet experience. I know our customers will love this cabin.”
