Back in 2006, Etihad Airways launched their luxury chauffeur service for Business and First class passengers, which has gone on to be a signature for the airline. The service is now available in 16 different countries and more than 28 destinations worldwide.
This week, the airline based in the United Arab Emirates, announced that it will be extending the service even further by introducing it to Milan, the second largest city in Italy. Milan is one of the most prominent fashion capitals in the world and a key destination for First and Business class travellers.
The limousine transfers are a complementary service and are solely available to the airline’s premium passengers who fly onboard the Pearl Business class and Diamond First class cabins. The service which will be running from Malpensa International Airport in Milan will begin tomorrow.
One of Italy’s most prominent companies for transportation in the Northern part of the country, Elite Italia, has been specially selected by Etihad to work with the airline and provide the chauffeur service.
Premium passengers who are flying in from Abu Dhabi to Milan can book to use the service, via the airline’s website. Customers will then be greeted at the arrivals gate and will be escorted to their chauffeur driven cars, enabling them to be on their way and not delayed in the airport.
The airline currently operates a mixture of Airbus A330s configured with either two or three classes of cabin on their Milan-Abu Dhabi route. This allows the airline to provide Business and First class passengers good connectivity from their hub in Abu Dhabi to a range of important destinations for business travellers, around the globe, including: Australasia, the Middle East and Africa.
