It is recommended to avoid renting a car whilst on business in Manila, the traffic and roads are often chaotic and many accidents occur as a result.

Manila’s public transport however is an alternative as it is incredibly fast and great for getting to and from different places quickly, especially for a busy day that involves many meetings and conferences.
Things to know about Manila for Business Class Travellers
Philippine peso is the currency used. There is a bounty of ATMs scattered across Manila, Withdrawing money from ATMs is the most convenient way of getting hold of cash in the city. However business class travellers will have no problem exchanging money anywhere in the city with many banks and shops offering exchange booths.
Manila has plenty of five star hotels perfect for business travel. Manila along with Makati City has many of the best restaurants in the Philippines, perfect places to visit for fine dining.
Fort Bonifacio complex just near the central business district of Makati is an excellent place to visit for some of the best and most vibrant lounges, bars and clubs perfect for ending the day in.
There are no real places to avoid in Manila, nevertheless general safety should be regarded. Take care at night when walking alone, and take care of the roads (day and night) as there is always a lot of traffic and commotion often resulting in many collisions. Women however, should attempt to not wander along the streets of Manila alone at all, especially not in unlit streets or of a night.
